Our Home
Bordered by creeks, ponds and nearby trails, Kilham Farm offers a relaxing environment for the active showjumper. We have a variety of riding rings, trails, large turnouts, a state of the art Eurowalker and clean, well-lit barns.
Kilham Farm is home to three beautiful arenas: an all-weather Covered Arena, a spacious Outdoor Sand Arena, and a Grand Prix field furnished with a water jump, banks and a grog.
Our three barns are equipped with rubber matted stalls and automatic waterers. The two larger barns occupy wash racks with hot and cold water. All barns have grooming areas and spacious tack rooms. In addition to stabling, we have large paddocks with shelters.
Management
The Kilham Farm horses are happy and healthy. We feed only the best grade of hay from reliable sources (80% grass, 20% alfalfa). A variety of supplements are provided depending on the horses' needs, including regular bran mashes, vitamins, homeopathic therapies and grains.
Our stalls are 12' x 12', many with paddocks, and are freshly bedded daily with heavily banked sides to prevent casting.
Regular dental and veterinary care are provided and we work closely with both our local vet and the veterinary staff at UC Davis.
Layup & Care
Kilham Farm is well equipped for many needs of our equine partners: rest, pregnancy and foaling, retirement, injury recovery, and more. We offer first class 24/7 professional care alongside large paddocks with roomy bedded stalls, ice therapy for leg injuries, bodywork and our Eurowalker to gently maintain muscle tone and suppleness. We always have good eyes on the horses as multiple staff members live on the property.
